SALT LAKE CITY — It wasn’t a white Christmas, but it certainly is a white day-after Christmas as a storm is bringing early morning snow Sunday to northern Utah and parts of the southern area of the state.

White-out conditions could be seen on traffic cameras in the Salt Lake area, making for hazardous driving on highways.
The snow is expected to continue into the late morning as bands move through Utah before tapering off in the valleys and leaving behind windy conditions in northwest Utah.
At 8:45 a.m., all inbound flights to Salt Lake City International Airport were being held at their origin until 9:15 a.m.

Beginning Saturday night, hazardous driving conditions were forecast for all Utah mountain areas. The National Weather Service says travel restrictions are possible in the mountains and higher passes, including Parleys and Sardine summits.
The greatest impacts on valleys will exist in Cache Valley and the Wasatch Back region.

Drivers should expect slushy roads after the storm passes.
