SALT LAKE CITY — At the 192nd Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday afternoon, church leaders named a new Relief Society general presidency and a new Primary general presidency.
New Relief Society general presidency
Sister Camille N. Johnson, who has served as president of the Primary general presidency, was called to replace Sister Jean B. Bingham as general president of the Relief Society, beginning in August of this year.
Sister Johnson, who was born in Pocatello, Idaho, worked as a lawyer and has degrees from the University of Utah, according to a news release from the church. She served as a companion to her husband when he was a mission president in the Peru Arequipa Mission, served in many assignments in her local congregation, and is the mother to three sons.
Sister J. Anette Dennis was called to serve as Sister Johnson’s first counselor. She was born in Provo and studied elementary education at Brigham Young University, the church’s news release says. Some of her previous assignments have been on the Primary general advisory council, on the Davis County Public Affairs Council, as a missionary with her husband in the Ecuador Guayaquil West Mission, and as matron of the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple.
Sister Dennis and her husband, Jorge Dennis, have four children and nine grandchildren.
The new second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency will be Sister Kristin M. Yee. She currently works as manager of the church’s animation team, and worked for Disney Interactive Studios for 13 years prior to that, according to the release.
Sister Yee was born in Sacramento, California, and has a master’s degree from Brigham Young University, the release says. She has served on the Primary general advisory council for the church since 2021. She has also served as Relief Society president in her ward and stake, as a ward Young Women president, and as a Sunday School teacher.
The previous presidency, which includes Sister Jean B. Bingham, Sister Sharon Eubank and Sister Reyna I. Aburto, has served for five years since being sustained in April 2017.

New Primary general presidency
Sister Susan H. Porter, who was sustained as a first counselor in the Primary general presidency one year ago, was sustained on Saturday to serve as the president of the same presidency, beginning in August.
Prior to her service in the Primary presidency, Sister Porter served on the Relief Society general advisory council for four years, in addition to assignments in her own congregation, the church’s press release says. Her late husband, Elder Bruce D. Porter of the church’s Quorum of the Seventy, died in 2016. They have four children and fulfilled church assignments in Russia and the Middle East together.
Sister Porter, who was born in Oklahoma and raised in New York, attended Brigham Young University and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, the release says. She has worked as a lab assistant and math teacher.
Sister Amy Wright, who was sustained as the new first counselor in the Primary general presidency, has been serving with Sister Porter as the second counselor for the past year. Sister Wright also served on the Young Women general advisory council for three years and in several assignments in her own congregation, according to the church press release.
Sister Wright is from Salt Lake City and went to the University of Utah. She worked at Marquette University, where she helped with an urban journalism camp for inner-city youth and participated in community service opportunities. She and her husband, James, have three sons.
The new second counselor in the Primary general presidency is Sister Tracy Y. Browning, who has served on the Relief Society general advisory council for the last four years, the press release says. She has worked in employment for the church and is currently working in the church’s Publishing Services Department. Before her career with the church, Sister Browning worked for 15 years in the financial services industry.
Sister Browning was born in New York, but she spent some of her childhood in Jamaica, an island in the West Indies where her parents were born. Sister Browning will be the first Black woman to serve in one of the general presidencies of the church. She and her husband have two children.
