Dan Pacos is the Lake Shore school district’s new superintendent.
The Pomfret town supervisor and Fredonia resident, a longtime employee of the district, was promoted by the Lake Shore Board of Education on Tuesday.
“I’m excited about it,” he told the OBSERVER. “The board approached me about it because our current superintendent is retiring.”
Pacos added that he was starting to consider retiring himself, but dropped that because he feels reinvigorated by his new role.
